Mizz Boot Bola

Meet the Designer
Robin Marcoux

Robin Marcoux earned a BFA in painting and sculpture from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, funding her education independently while juggling multiple jobs. One of her roles was with the Creative Arts Center, a non-profit offering free art classes to underfunded schools, community centers, women’s shelters, and nursing homes. Despite the challenges, Robin was determined to complete her college education.

Years later, her son, driven by a passion for football, aimed to play at the college level. Throughout high school, he attended specialized football camps nationwide. Committed to supporting his dream amid fierce competition for specialist positions, he secured a spot at Texas State University. The next hurdle was financing his education.
During a Texas State gameday tailgate, Robin noticed many college girls wearing western boots decorated with ribbons and bandanas in school colors. Inspired, she envisioned a better decorative accessory and conceived the ‘Boot Bola’. Seeing its potential to support her son’s college journey, she launched a primary line of stainless steel accessories for western boots, along with a collegiate collection featuring stainless steel and leather.

By January 2026, Robin had secured collegiate licenses from Texas State University, Texas Tech University, LSU, TCU, University of Tennessee, University of Alabama, Vanderbilt, and more to come. Meanwhile, her son transferred to Washington State University to advance to a Power 5 school and eventually the SEC. He is set to graduate in May with a Master’s Degree from Vanderbilt University and plans to pursue a professional football career.
With her son’s college chapter closing, Robin now focuses on giving back through her company, supporting foundations and causes close to her heart. She says, “This product is a vehicle to raise funds for non-profits and foundations dedicated to improving the lives of children and communities. God gave me this talent, and now I can give back.”
